While not the funniest episode of the season (that honor still goes to the Bible thumping episode earlier this year), S04E12 is essential viewing for character development. On the Medford side, George Sr. and Mary are dealing with the fallout of past relationships. The title’s "Ex-Wife" refers to a tense visit from Brenda Sparks (yes, that Brenda), but also to the ghost of George’s first marriage. Meanwhile, Sheldon is... being Sheldon.
