The episode ends with the first execution: a kind old grandmother who received zero votes. As she is dragged away, she smiles at Yoon-ji and mouths: "Don't become them." Episode 2: Dollhouse of Lies Act One: The Second Game — "The Marble Arcade" Players are paired. But unlike Season 1, they are not given marbles. They are given one virtual reality headset each , linked. The game: "Marble Arcade" — a classic pong-like game where each player controls a paddle. If you miss the marble, a real needle injects a paralytic agent into your neck. You don't die immediately — you just can't move for 60 seconds, during which the marble keeps coming. The only way to survive is to coordinate and never miss. But the VR shows your partner as a monster.

Cold Open: A flashback to two years before the main events of Season 1. We see a young woman, HAN NA-YEON (28) , a former North Korean defector and elite hacker, being forced to sign a contract in a luxurious but sterile office. The man across from her is not the Front Man, but a younger, scarred recruiter (played by a new actor, MR. JEONG ). He slaps her lightly, then hands her a card. "Your skills are your curse, Na-Yeon. Play, or we find your mother in Yanji."
