Microsoft does provide a simple single .exe file labeled "Office365_Offline.exe" on their public download page. Instead, they provide a tool that creates an offline installation source.
We’ve all been there. You click "Install" on Office 365, grab a coffee, and come back to find the progress bar frozen at 34%. Or worse, you’re setting up a new laptop in a hotel room with spotty Wi-Fi, and the Click-to-Run installer keeps failing.
Microsoft designed Office 365 (now Microsoft 365) to install via a lightweight online bootstrapper. But for IT pros, remote workers, or users with slow internet, that method is a nightmare.
