While Talqin is practiced by the majority of Sunni Muslims (Hanafis, Shafi’is, Hanbalis in one narration), some scholars (including some Salafi-leaning scholars) consider it an innovation ( bid’ah ) because it is not found in the most rigorously authenticated Hadith collections (Bukhari & Muslim). Death is the only certainty in life
