This is where SOGO covers the map. You’ll find Thai-style Red Curry (spicy and coconutty), Chinese Kung Pao Chicken , and Japanese Teriyaki . The portions are small, which is actually great because you can order 10 different things without wasting food.
The vibe is lively but relaxed—perfect for a student dinner on a budget or a casual date night. SOGO operates primarily on a "Running Sushi" or "All-You-Can-Eat" model, but with a twist. Unlike places where the food has been sitting on a belt for an hour, SOGO focuses on made-to-order freshness via tablets or menus.
Don’t skip the Gyoza (fried dumplings) or the Edamame . They also serve fantastic Spring Rolls that are crispy without being greasy.
4/5 Stars Best for: Large groups, hungry students, and anyone suffering from "German food fatigue." Have you been to SOGO in Heidelberg? What is your go-to dish? Let me know in the comments!
