If you own an older Foscam security camera and use Google Chrome, you have probably experienced that sudden moment of panic. You type in your camera’s IP address, enter your password, and... you are greeted by a blank square, a broken icon, or a message asking you to install a plugin you know you already installed.

If you need the web interface for settings, use Pale Moon or Edge’s IE Mode. If you just need to watch the video, use VLC via RTSP. It’s safer, faster, and won’t break with the next Chrome update.
