One night, fleeing from a hotel waiter (unpaid bill: ₹4,500), Rohit crashes into a van. The van belongs to Chikna Chaturvedi (40s, gold chains, sweat glistening like a politician’s forehead), a small-time gangster with big-time dreams. Inside the van? A cage. Inside the cage? Mithu—a parrot who can recite the exact bank account passwords of Chikna’s rival, Bhau Khopdi.

In the end, Chikna gives Rohit ₹50 lakh to "finish the film." Rohit, his ex-wife, the goons, and the parrot actually shoot Khichdi No. 1: Return of the Parrot in three days.
