Look inside the filter housing. Use a toothpick or wire to dislodge any visible debris. Wipe away gunk with a paper towel.

Most dishwashers have a cylindrical or flat filter at the bottom. Twist it counterclockwise and lift it out. Check your manual for exact location. Look inside the filter housing
Sprinkle ½ cup baking soda into the drain hole, then pour 1 cup white vinegar. Let it fizz for 10–15 minutes to break down grease and soap scum. Slide it out completely so you can access the drain area
Replace the filter and rack. Run a short hot-water cycle with no detergent to flush out loosened debris.
Spin the impeller (small fan-like piece) by hand. It should turn freely. Remove any glass shards or hard objects.
Scoop out water from the bottom of the dishwasher using a cup. A wet/dry vacuum works best for quick removal.
