There isn't one single "best" because different ones have different virtues and blessings. However, the most highly recommended, comprehensive, and frequently recited are the following. This is the Durood recited in the Tashahhud during every prayer (Salah). It is considered the most complete and virtuous because it includes blessings on the Prophet (ﷺ) and his family, following the pattern of blessings sent to Prophet Ibrahim (عليه السلام). best durood sharif
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ، اَللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ Transliteration: Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala aali Muhammadin, kama sallayta 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala aali Ibrahima, innaka Hamidun Majeed. "O Allah, send Your mercy upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your mercy upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious." 2. The Shortest & Most Comprehensive (Durood-e-Ashrafi / Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) The Prophet (ﷺ) said that the best Durood is the one that is shortest in wording but vast in meaning. اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلاَةً تُنَجِّينَا بِهَا مِنْ جَمِيعِ الأَهْوَالِ وَالآفَاتِ وَتَقْضِى لَنَا بِهَا جَمِيعَ الْحَاجَاتِ وَتُطَهِّرُنَا بِهَا مِنْ جَمِيعِ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَتَرْفَعُنَا بِهَا عِنْدَكَ أَعْلَى الدَّرَجَاتِ وَتُبَلِّغُنَا بِهَا أَقْصَى الْغَايَاتِ مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْخَيْرَاتِ فِى الْحَيَاةِ وَبَعْدَ الْمَمَاتِ Translation: "O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, such blessings by which You relieve us of all fears and calamities, fulfill all our needs, purify us of all evils, raise us to the highest stations in Your presence, and enable us to attain the furthest goals of all goodness in life and after death." Even reading one Durood once with deep love and understanding is better than 1,000 recited without attention.
